So I restarted the blog, basically reuploaded a new blog to a new location, and copied the old posts back onto the blog. I’ll update the navigation links shortly as well.
Also, I disabled all comments. Sorry, I was getting absolutely nothing but spam. It took a lot of time to have to manage 25-35 spam posts every single day.
I’ll include a contact link shortly if you want to send me commentary about this blog.
I may reopen the messageboard soon. Hopefully we’ll get a large contingent of JLU and comic book fans who will populate the boards.

Coming back to Earth after 10 years, its clear John Stewart had a bit of trouble fitting in with other members of the Justice League, as well as readjusting to life in his home town of Detroit. With John’s military background and with his new job as a “space cop”, he began to form a connection with Hawkgirl, which eventually blossomed into a romance.
After the invasion of Earth by the Thanagarians in which he discovered Hawkgirl had a husband on Thanagar, John Stewart felt betrayed by Hawkgirl and the two seperated. Despite this, it was pretty clear that when they met again in “Wake the Dead” that John still had strong feelings for Hawkgirl, despite the fact that he’s dating Vixen.

Real Name: Diana
Voice Actor(s): Susan Eisenberg
First JL/JLU Appearance: Secret Origins (JL Episode #1)
Super Powers: Flight, Super Strength, Invulnerability, Increased Speed and Reflexes, Magic Lasso, Magic Bracelets.
Background:
Wonder Woman spent her entire life on Themyscira, but when the earth is attacked by alien invaders during the events of “Secret Origins”, Diana can’t help by come to the aid of “Man’s World”.
Because Wonder Woman brought men onto Themyscira during “Paradise Lost”, which is a violation of Amazonian law, she was banished from the island. Later on in the series, she acts as a diplomat for Themyscira at the world assembly, as a way of repairing relations with her estranged mother.
Towards the end of the original Justice League series, Wonder Woman and Batman begin to spark up a bit of a romance. It comes into play during “This Little Piggy”, where Batman is clearly frustrated and upset that Wonder Woman was transformed into a pig by Circe and a way to reverse the spell can’t be found. It’s alluded to again during “The Once and Future Thing” when Green Lantern and Batman talk about their respective love interests and Wonder Woman becomes a bit of the “bossy girlfriend” when deciding whether or not to break out a “card shark”.

Real Name: Bruce Wayne
Voice Actor(s): Kevin Conroy
First JL/JLU Appearance: Secret Origins (JL Episode #1)
Super Powers: Batman has no powers, but has a genius level intellect, martial arts prowess, and a wide variety of gadgets to combat crime.
Background:
Young Bruce Wayne went out one night to see a play with his mother and father, the wealthy Wayne family. Coming out of the play and heading down an alley, the Wayne family are gunned down by a petty criminal. Bruce, being the only survivor, swears to fight crime and assumes the identity of Batman to rid Gotham City of crime once and for all.
Being a billionaire playboy, Bruce Wayne has a huge budget to create his many gadgets, and plenty of time to pursue his crimefighting ventures. Batman uses this money to fund the building of the Javelin as well as the Justice League Watchtower.
While technically a “part timer”, Batman is a central figure in the JLU and as one of the original members, wields a lot of authority in the League. His knowledge of villains and his intellect are a great asset to the JLU.
Out of all characters in the DCAU, Batman’s history is probably the most explored. Batman remains in the shadows, using his expertise when necessary while keeping most of the league at arms length.

The Ultimen discover that they are merely clones and go rogue, with the Justice League (Aquaman, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman) in charge of stopping them. During the “Panic in the Sky” episode, dozens of Ultimen clones are sent to the Justice League satellite to destroy the Justice League.

Real Name: Arthur, Lord of Atlantis
Voice Actor: Scott Rummel
First JL/JLU Appearance: The Enemy Below (JL Episode #6)
Super Powers: Marine Telepathy, Super Strength, Underwater Adaptation, Enhanced Senses, Improved Healing, Superhuman Reflexes.
Background:
Aquaman is Lord of Atlantis and because of this, he is effectively ruler of 75% of Earth. His first encounter with the Justice League is a bit rocky, he fights Green Lantern and his pompous and royal attitude irritates the Justice League.
After the Justice League aid Aquaman in thwarting an attempt on his life by his brother Orm, its seems that the relationship between Aquaman and the Justice League will be a healthy one. But the Justice League and Aquaman battle (along with the help of Dr. Fat and Solomon Grundy), albeit briefly again during “The Terror Beyond” in season 2 of the original Justice League.
During the Justice League Unlimited run, Aquaman has a healthy relationship with the JLU and stars in two episodes: Wake the Dead (in which he helps the JLU stop Solomon Grundy), and Ultimatum (where he helps the JLU battle a group that are a pastiche of old Superfriends heroes).
Unfortunately, due to the proposed Aquaman live action series, Aquaman was blacklisted throughout much of Justice League Unlimited’s run. Its disappointing because Aquaman has some of the richest history of any DC Superhero and some storylines would have been worth bringing to life.

Real Name: Alexander Joseph Luthor
Voice Actor(s): Clancy Brown
First JL/JLU Appearance: Injustice for All (JL Episode #8)
Super Powers: None. Lex Luthor has genius level intelligence and is a master scientist, criminal, and businessman.
Background:
Lex Luthor in the Justice League universe is the key corporate figure in Metropolis, one of America’s largest and most prominent cities. His is a villain to Superman as well as the rest of the Justice League, using his inventions and political influence to battle the Justice League in a way few villains can.
Lex Luthor was a corporate villain all the way throughout his entire run in Superman: The Animated Series and in the original Justice League series, he was more of a mad scientist, staring death in the face due to his Kryptonite induced cancer (as stated in Injustice for All).
In Justice League Unlimited, Lex is primarily responsible for funding the Cadmus Project, a super secret government sponsored project designed to combat the threat the Justice League posed. Throughout the first two seasons of JLU, Luthor is once again the corporate villain; the man who can anger Superman to no end but can’t be touched because he can’t be fingered for the crime.
At the end of season 2 Luthor and the Justice League discover that Brainiac had been lying dormant within Luthor’s body and the two merged into one superbeing until Luthor was defeated by the Flash.
In the beginning of season 3, Luthor returns to his mad scientist roots as he eventually takes over the Secret Society of Supervillains.

Real Name: Clark Kent / Kal-El
Voice Actor(s): George Newburn
First JL/JLU Appearance: Secret Origins (JL Episode #1)
Super Powers: Flight, Super Strength, Invulnerability, Super Breath, Superspeed, Heat Vision, X-Ray Vision.

Virtually everyone knows the history of Superman. The last son of the doomed planet of Krypton, Superman’s spacecraft crashes in rural Kansas and the infant is found by Martha and Jonathan Kent and given strong family values and a pure upbringing.
Clark then moves to Metropolis and becomes a reporter at the Daily Planet, which also allows him to react to breaking news faster as Superman.
Superman (in Secret Origins) is the one who suggests that a permanent crimefighting team is formed and coins the term “Justice League” when Flash suggests “So what, are we going to be a bunch of Superfriends?” as an obvious nod to that previous show.
Superman’s history is explored very much in depth during Superman: The Animated Series, and many of his villains are reused for Justice League Unlimited. Superman defeating Darkseid in Twilight has later reprocussions, such as Flash helping secure Darkseid’s son Kalibak in The Ties That Bind.
